Ezine Articles and Article Directories: How is It A Money or Traffic Benefit?
73Writing and Publishing on Article Directories
This is a business where you need to build links, and more links and then hope that you will get traffic from these links to make money. There are many ways to get links to your hubs, and this is something that you must do no matter how boring it may seem. Now all purposeguru asked the question in regards to e-zine articles.
The idea is that while there are strict requirements to getting your article published on e-zine articles, some of the other article dashboards out there don't seem to have as many. Now while you can put copied content onto e-zine, (not your hubs! never duplicate your hubs!) what about taking that same articles and putting it on another article website?
Is it a good idea or should you change it a bit?
IS there a way you can maximize both your traffic and your money to your blogs and hubs?
Traffic or Money?: How about thinking of these article sites as a means to get traffic to your original content on hubpages or on your blog where they will find some more information that they would not find out otherwise.
For the most part with a bit of research you can find the article directories that Google finds of value such as article dashboard, and e-zine articles. Both of these article directories have your work placed under review.
Now, This is a time factor, and sometimes writing where you can make money a bit faster, or building your business with links to say social networking sites should come before writing on these sites.
Again these are valuable links in terms of "dofollow" but (and for those who want money fast, which is a very nice theory) these all take time as you will have to prove yourself before you will get faster edits.
Using a keyword tool is valuable, but in this case your content is far more important: article directories are becoming more "edit conscious" but also want more unique content on what you write about, so be aware that if you have 100 articles on the same topic each article needs to offer something new and useful to your readers.
So, what about putting content from one article directory into another article directory?: This is the heart of the matter, I personally think that while for the most part you can put one of these articles in another article directory, you should also "fix" it up a bit so that it is not exactly the same, not too much, but enough.
So, if you fix it up a bit, where would I go? Not only should you go to e-zine articles, which is the first place you should go to if you have time, but you should also go next to article dashboard, which has a editorial review policy there as well.
Again this does not need to be perfectly original content, but it should have some difference between the two articles. If you can write 400 words for an article, you can certainly write or change 150 of them.
Time and Money
Yes, but that is great but i don't have the time... but I want the money: Okay then, you do not have the time, then you should plan to not make as much money. Simple. it's business. If you do not make the time to add links which are of value, then you will essential be hurting yourself. Linking is a key to make the money you want to make.
I do know some will suggest that you should only go to social networking sites to build up your links, but again it is the time factor if your focus is on one way of making money chances are other ways will not make as much money since you are not focusing on them. Social networking sites are great, but you will have to be willing to spend as much time there to build you work.
Again, in my view, if your content is bad, it will not matter how many links you will put into a sloppy site, as on the Internet everyone can learn, but there is no such thing as make money fast.
Allpurposeguru found a good list, and I agree with all of these article directories. These all will take time to build up the links to them, but again the better content of your hub and sites will win over a poorly constructed site that simply does not have the content.

Time and Money or Links?
See results without votingArticle Directory: Publish on Them
Article Directories-- or the last Word: This is one where I would say because of the nature of article directories which is that others will use your content through the Internet, I would change ti slightly and use the base of e-zine articles, and Go articles, or Article Dashboard as the main three, but not to forget that a small change works a bit better.
The key is to publish on them and make certain that it is original content. These days it is far worse for you to have duplicate content anywhere if you can afford to be seen by the search engines. It is important to publish in as many places on a regular basis. You need traffic.
Again, if you are writing your work based upon your hub, it is always best to in the beginning (say with e-zine articles) to make a newer version of your hub, and then change it slightly for each article directory you use. This is again to avoid the cost of duplicate content. If you write you can write something that is useful and unique on these sites.
This is of course on of the many ways to build quality links to your hub and other sites, but again do your homework.
To your success.

It took me quite a few articles to get some success as well. I really like the stumbleupon website for sharing articles. But what does it take to get a lot of followers on stumbleupon.
Thanks, using Ezine Articles to bring traffic to my hubs and blogs is a cool ideal, I guess. hmmm . . .
Sorry - - or maybe I should just ask what do you use for your author link if you don't have your own site? Thanks!
I'm trying to learn more about article marketing and have a question. When you write for ezine, do you have to own your own website? Or what site do you use to link back to you in the resource box? Know what I mean?
Great info rebecca!
very informative hub. Thanks for the great tips. Looking forward to you sharing more of your knowledge.
Rated up and awesome
I will need to try e-zine articles, are there anymore out there?
nice work done.
Great hub., Thanks for the information
great advice. I use those and quite a few others. I like IP and link diversity or am I just following the herd and unsubstantiated theories?
Thanks
I joined Ezine and was accepted, but I never wrote anything. I know people who love Ezine and say it gets them tons of traffic to their blogs, so I may have to try it.
I've been curious about these sites. I often read some for some inspiration on a topic I got to write for a client. I come across good writes and bad writes in these directories which has kind of made me want to submit and share my hard earned knowledge and inform a few readers, but I never do. But this hub has now make me curious about these EZine places again so maybe I will take a deeper look at them. Thanks!
Thanks for writing this great hub. But it is quite difficult to get google adsense.
English is not my native language so Ezine does not accept my articles. Anybody have some tricks to how they accept my articles? I am extremely waiting for best support.
Wouldn't it be great if there was somewhere on the web where we could re-publish our hubs and get even more ratings and more visitors? Sadly the likes of Google and others don't like us doing that. But eZines and article Directories do have their uses. As long as they get ratings up and provide backlinks and doesn't get us penalised further down the road, then it is useful. Great hub.
indeed those are a money traffic method

Thanks for giving an insight into Ezine Articles. Some lessons learnt. :)
I'm not sure I absorbed all that... I'll come back and read it again later on. Right now my pizza is getting cold! Thanks for sharing your experience.
E-zine articles aren't my favorite venues, but I have tried them in the past and recognize their value. It all fits together and none of it can be totally ignored. Thanks for showing another side to writing online. Your expertise is helpful to us all.
Mike
As usual, you provide great information on something I am only getting into now...I do agree that articles should be tweaked some before publishing...thanks
yes, this is exactly what I do. I write for exine articles, articlebase, searchwarp, articledashboard, howhub, hubpages, bukisa, Goarticles and other blog sites re-publishing and distributing the same articles.
Great tips on article marketing. I have written articles for years and I find it provides a great deal of traffic. I also have many many articles on Ezines and the like that are copied and published on other peoples websites with links back to me. That is a powerful benefit! Thanks for the great article tips.
A very interesting read and good helpful advice. Thank you so much.
Thanks for your answer. Changing some of the article makes a good compromise between rewriting it completely and resubmitting it somewhere else without change. It makes good sense. It seems that I have been spending more time lately promoting hubs and blog posts than writing them. Eventually I will have tried enough different ways of promotion to find what works best for me and get into some kind of good rhythm of writing, repurposing for other revenue sites, and promotion.
Awesome hub! The only thing I would caution against: When tweeking your hub/article to post somewhere else, make sure you change the content enough Google doesn't think it's duplicate content. It can hurt your rankings and exposure otherwise.
I use EzineArticles a lot & find it's easy to get articles on the first page of Google with little backlinking to them. Plus, like hubs, they get PR easily.
Thank you Rebecca for another great hub, I wish I could jam all your knowledge in my head and then, I would be very prosperous.LOL. Thank you for sharing. Godspeed. creativeone59
Excellent information about article writing and easy-to-understand video. Thanks, Becca.
Good practical advice for those interested in using article directory marketing.

Entourage-- you will need to thumb up a lot of sites so that you are seen and also add yourself as a follower if you think that they are a good fit. This of course takes a lot of time.
