Use Capsules to Make Money With the Amazon Associates Program on Hubpages

This making money business is sure complex, as most of the questions I receive are based upon, but really it is not as complex as you might think. In this case, making money with amazon is a bit more of a challenge than with Google AdSense, simply because it is more placement and presentation than AdSense on Hubpages.

See, hubpages puts the Google code in for us, and we do not have to add anything, so Google is placed in the best locations provided you understand a few thing, content, presentation and business. of course keyword research and a bit of knowledge of SEO will help but the key is that teh placement is done for you.

With amazon-- the amazon associates program, you will have to be in edit mode of your huband edit it in as a capsule, somewhere and somehow and often, this does not make it for an easy way to go. SO, you use capsules to make money with amazon.

So the amazon affiliate program is something I should think about? Yes it is, now a lot of people do not have as much success with amazon and making money but a lot of other do. Some say it is because they have done product reviews and people will buy from the hub with products.

I am of two minds on this one, one I have not written a product review hub... as yet, so I can not say with certainty that these hubs do make people a lot of money. Yes there are hub writers here who have been featured on the hubpages blog as making money with both Google and amazon, so it is something people should think about.

Again as with any hub, presentation is a must, see some people will put the amazon capsules and then will put them where they think might help them, but really there is one big thing they forget... to think like a business and to think a bit more like Google, if they want to make money. 

Google Versus Amazon: Which makes better money for me?  Well, for some amazon makes them a good deal of money and for others, it is Google AdSense which drives their business and creates the income that they want and that they envision for themselves and their business.

I perfer to think of Google and amazon as a team, by using both and presenting your business well and picking out the correct keywords and the right sort of capsules that will get readers to buy something from amazon you will see more earnings for amazon this way.

Some will say product reviews are more profitable in terms of amazon, but really it is where and how and what you put in the capsule that make or breaks the profit for amazon.  This works the same for Google, but the big difference on hubpages, again is that you need to worry about amazon, hubpages put the Google ads in for you.

So how do I add an amazon capsule to my hubs? Well that is rather simple, at least putting it in. You go to your hub and click on the edit button then on the upper right hand side you will find a thing called a capsule and add an amazon capsule and off you go.

Then you go to that capsule, find a place for it, now I do not like to place it too high as it can interfere with the Google AdSense ads, but not too low since often people will not see it if they browse too quickly. It is somewhat like the business of window shopping. Some will see it and some will not. However, product placement is important. I like to put it by either some links so that half of the side is a link list, and the other half is the list of amazon books.

Next choose keywords or specific products. Again this is your choice where you need to decide upon what your hub is all about. This is a business so if your hub is about making money and you have books on improving your writing people will not buy it.

Choose your products wisely.  This is the most important thing.  If it means that you spread your amazon capsules around your hub and only have one or two in each then so be it, but make certain it will be something people will want to buy.

So I got my Keywords I have my placement, and you are saying presentation?  Why would you suggest that?  I probably spend a lot of time on my content and on how my hubs look, see if they do not look good, would you personally link to them?

Would you go out of your way to read them?  What about clicking on a Google AdSense ad or clicking on a product for amazon?  Would you personally do so?  I would say that really you would not.  Think about your presentation of your hub, it is for lack of a better term a mini-website where it needs both readers and more traffic over time.

Writing for a living is a business and writing a hub is something where presented correctly will make you money.  I am not suggesting that you will make money fast with amazon, and while some people do make money with amazon, and steady at that, they also have a lot of other hubs, which are interlinked and are well presented and linked.

Now take a look a bit.  All of my capsules are a bit different and there is something for everyone here, and at some point someone will find something which they need, but people need to see it, to get what they need.

It helps to add amazon capsules to hubs not only for the presentation but for profit.  This is a business and if you are serious you try more ways to make money.  This means ediring and improving your hubs and adding your amazon capsules. 

The Last Word-- this is a business, and you need to think like a business, but you also need to be passionate about your writing and about what you are writing about.  It does not help to write about something you are not confident in and are not used to a certain topic.

Amazon is like Google AdSense in so far that you can make money with it but that you need to place the products yourself and plan where you will put your amazon capsules.  You need to think of the reader and of the type of things they need to buy.

If you have a bit of fun with it, then it really helps with the ups and downs of amazon and making money with it.  Again, be passionate about your writing and about your capsule placement and you will see success.
