Make Money: Google AdSense Program and Earn on Hubpages How To Create a Fine Hub
81Google AdSense and Other Affiliate Programs
So you want to make money writing on hubpages. There is ONLY one way to make money on hubpages. These are called: Affiliate programs. These affiliate programs are vital to making money, and you need to think more like a business and think content and presentation and traffic. If you don't have these things your business will not survive, or you will get frustrated at not making money. You will also need a fine hub to make money.
The only way to make money on hubpages is by having Google AdSense and Amazon and eBay. Now each takes it own time to get money but it has a bit to do with traffic and a lot to do with two people: The reader and YOU, which also means that you need to have a high quality, fine hub.
This is a business, and people need to feel value and they also need to feel that what you offer is something that they need. Do they need to read your writing? Do they need the ads shown on your hubs? What are you writing for?
Traffic and Traffic and Money: Okay, this is simple, hubpages DOES NOT pay you for views of your hubs. I know a lot of people don't read the Terms of Service or the Frequently Asked Questions, but still this one is found almost anywhere.
So, to make money you need traffic, and you need to have accounts with Google AdSense, and amazon and eBay (and of course the Kontera...) Given that this is a business and that to have a business you need to make money, the best thing you can do is understand that to make money you need to get traffic, and a specific type of traffic.
The value of the traffic is important, and the type of traffic as well. So I'll go into detail about that. Amazon and Google and eBay all need hubs with traffic, your job is to get them traffic.
Google AdSense and Value: I love to tell people this, but Google AdSense does work, but don't expect a dollar a day for while. That comes in time, it seems sometimes as well it is a matter of luck. One day I can write a hundred things, and not make more than 10 cents and then 3 days later I make say $16, go figure... but because of this I have noticed something....
Still there is something about Google AdSense and hubpages that most people don't realize, it is a matter of luck, and of a lot of time. I do read the hubpages blog... you do know hubpages has a blog don't you? on this blog the interview other writers, and they share their secrets to success.
I read these, and they have helped me a lot. One of the best was focus on links but know where to link. You make money when people come to your hubs and click on a google ad. The question is: Where do they come from? For the most part, people who click on ads come from the search engines.
However, another big place is the social networking sites, such as Stumble Upon and Digg, but they are similar to hubpages, you need to have subscribers and traffic, which means good keywords.
So, to get value out of Google AdSense, go to your traffic Sources and see where most of your traffic comes from. Then begin to focus on say, Stumble Upon or google, and then you will see a change in what you make. Again that takes time, once the search engine "see" your hub then you have more of a chance to get traffic, but you need links and these take a couple of days.
Social Networking Sites, Interaction and SEO: Now these three thing interlink with Google AdSense. They all take a lot of time, I would estimate that the social networking sites are the best place to begin, but at some point you'll need to work on SEO ( Search Engine Optimization) and interactivity on your hubs.
You will not make money otherwise. Think of your hubs as a map, Each hub should have a link to at least one other hub of yours. If you have a hub with no links, it isn't on the map, and people will not find it. The same is true for Google and other Search engines, while your hub will be "on the map" most people will not find it.
Try putting a keyword of your topic in, as often your hub will be a few pages in on Google. Now put your title in, chances are it will be on the first page. So what does SEO do for you? It helps Google find your hubs better.
The idea is that traffic from anywhere, such as the social networking sites, combined with interactivity on your hubs and others will create a few more links, which will create traffic, which will help Google "find" your work.
The next step, of course is adding links between your hubs, and then in your blogs and other sites, you need these links, and you need to do this for your hubs. This is a bit of SEO, but the next step is looking at your title and keywords.... this will add value to your business.
So Hubpages doesn't pay me... that's not fair!: Nothing in life is fair. The fact of the matter is, no hubs, no money, end of story. You need to write to get traffic and you need to learn to get traffic. There are different types of traffic and some will make you more money than others.
The message you give to others is important, hypnodude said it best, some of my best hubs are the ones that have few words but the most impact. (Or something like that). It isn't the word count really, but face it, the message has to be there, and the better the content the better the keywords, the better the chance you will make money with your hubs.
I would suggest that hypnodude is on their way to success, they know how to link and the hubs hynodude writes are great. They are interactive with their readers and yes, the keywords are there. It just will take time for some steady income, but they also go to Stumble Upon, and RedGage and have proven that they are a success.
There I am off one promoting another hub writer!
That being said, neither hypnodude or I make money on publishing hubs. We make money via amazon or eBay or Google. Just like everyone else here on hubpages. I would add the more traffic you get the more likely it is to give you money.
Again: get an account with Google AdSense or amazon or eBay, and that will make you money. Get an account, and look at where your traffic is coming from.
What is The Most Value To Me?

Writing Hubs: So I'll say this again the top three things you need to have on a hub. No some much on the hubs alone, but also outside of hubpages.
--Links: no links people won't find it or won't try to find it. You need link to encourage traffic to move between your hubs, or to your hubs as the case may be. When you are creating links you will need to think of places that you can link to your work from outside to increase traffic.
Some of these sites are social networking sites, such as Stumble upon, Digg Facebook, and many others. Also use smaller sites such as She Told Me, or Redgage to get some traffic to your work. It is important to add links. It is also important to be active on these sites to maximizethe traffic and money benefit you get from them. Also, use the power of the article directories since many of these links are do-follow, but do not spam these sites.
--Interactivity: As in people comment you comment back. You go to others hubs and comment there, you write your heart out. Add pols and links, and some good keywords, and answer any questions, and comment back on their hubs that you've answered them. The most important is to be interactive on your own hubs.
Making money happens indirectly with interactivity your hubs will get indexed by Google a lot faster since your name will be found on other sites, and that means your profile will be found easily. Again this is a slow method to making money but it is important in terms of visibility.
-- Time: traffic comes in time and with it so does your money. Allow this to happen, and understand one thing it is up to your to get the traffic, not hubpages, and the type of traffic matters. Keep writing, and never ever quit.
The more time you give your business, and the more you actually work at improving your links and your interacting without spamming the community the better your hubs will do over time. It is important to provide quality hubs to your readers, and they are your future traffic.
To your Success.

This article was pretty explicit and makes me realize that I may never earn any money because I do not like Facebook or Twitter and don't have the time to join the other social networking sites. I will, however, sign up for adsense, etc. as soon as I publish a few more articles. Thanks fsor the info.

Great information!
Good advice about being interactive on your hub. This is something I need to emulate.
Interesting reading
Well written and some good ideas. I would suggest another quick re-through to correct some of the blatant spelling typos and errors. Otherwise, very useful!
But what is SOL. I do love to write and I can now at least navigate my way around a computer and the internet, but sadly, I have no idea what most of the terms you refer to mean. I am sure my grandchildren would know, but since they think I work as a secret agent, I do not want to disillusion them with my ignorance.
Good advice about being interactive on your hub. This is something I need to emulate.
I'm new to Hubpages and have been scratching my head on how to get the real benefit from it. Sure, eventually you can get backlinks, but I hear talk of so much more.

Hugs from a Hubbuddy.
