To Make Money Online Increase Traffic, so that Google AdSense Needs to "See" Your Business
78Increasing Traffic= Make Money Online? Wait a Minute.
This is a fairly good question where the person has asked if you get say 1000 impressions( or page views) per month, what is the average money you would receive from say Google AdSense, and the other affiliate programs. This is a good start to making money, but this is a business and you need to know what can make you money, and impressions are not one of them.
Again given that this is a business and we all love to make money, and we would love to make it in a faster manner than we are now, where is the fault in asking this sort of question. This is a valid question which does have a good answer to it. The fault is the assumption of how to make money with Google AdSense and your affiliate programs
The one thing this question does not give is the content that they would use, so as this is an online article and I will discuss how you need to market your hubs to see success, I will give a few examples that will help you in making money online.
So you want to make money online?: Yes, we all do, but the question is how to get it and where is the link to get it and sooner? We would like to push that glass ceiling away from where we have had it.
So, time to break that ceiling, and get to work. First go to your profile and look at it, and see what you have as a profile page. Do you have links to your blogs? Do you have links to some sites you frequent? Is it interesting to the reader? Do you have some hubs of yours up there? Ask why should anyone read your profile?
The reason I first look to the profile is because people look at it as much if not as often as your hubs in the beginning. Of course make it look professional and have those links so you can drive traffic to your other work. You need people to go to your profile so they can find some of your other hubs.
In this case if you only get 1,000 impressions per month, which also include your own, I would really be surprised you would make any money at all. I would be very surprised if based in hubpages you will make more than ten dollars on Google AdSense. So... you want to make money you need more. More Traffic, more links, more time and of course you'd love more money.
Next you need to look at your hub topics and do some work on your hubs.

Great my profile looks good... now what about the glass breaking part?: Okay, so profile looks good, what about your statistics? How do they look?
Under your account there is a little thing, which really is a big thing and it is called statistics. Now, I will do this in few steps so that you can look at what is right... and what needs to be made better.
-- Look at every one of your hubs. Go and look at the daily visitors or page impressions, and then the 7 days and then the 30 days. I like to go from lowest to highest, to see where the most fixing needs to be done to improve my traffic and my chances of making money in this business.
-- Look at try to figure out which hubs are doing poorly in terms of your expectations, now look to the far right and then look at the published date. The oldest published hub with the poorest traffic is the one to look at first. I base it on a 30 day page view. otherwise it will not help much. Go to that hub.

Okay I am at a hub which looks okay to me... but it isn't doing well in terms of traffic or money: In this business there is a little thing called links. Think of it as a network. The goal is to see what makes this hub not work well.
I begin by going to the hub statistics and then to the hub metrics where I will find a couple of things, the potential for money, the level of links that I have to this hub, and the time people have been on this hub. I also can find word count of the hub.
Now here is what you should see with a hub that has been around for a while that based on your Google AdSense is doing pretty good.
-- The Incoming links should have three stars or more. Anything less and you have some work ahead of you, if traffic is a problem with this on chances are your incoming links are below three stars. Time to add this to social networking sites, and to some of your blogs and websites. Blogs are great because I can add link to a blog post to a hub. Just a quick not: Five links to a hub will not get you five stars, I believe it takes about 10 incoming links to get two stars. It also means you need to do some foot work, and plan at least fifteen links to it.
-- The money potential is between three and five dollar signs. The more dollar signs the more potential for money. Now be advised this means potential to make money. This does not mean you will make money. Now if the money is two dollar signs this is okay as well, as long as the incoming links have at least three stars.
-- Next word count, anything less than 400 words for most hubs will not cut it, as people will not stay for too long otherwise, so about 800 words for most hubs are prefect. So, if your hub has about 300 words, add to it, give more details.
--Title is is good, I mean does anyone really care to read on? If you do not have a good title fix it, most Titles should tell you what this hub is about... do not get fancy tell the reader what your hub is about.

So, that helps but what else? Google AdSense. Rather Google itself, begin with some basic keyword research. I used to do this the hard way, but I have found a few things which are a bit faster.
-- Pick a series of word which is based on your topic. In other words if your hub is about traffic and making money, I would go to Google and type in some sentences to give you a good idea of who your competition is and how many links you are going to need on your hub. This is a low method but if you have one or two hubs to fix, it is worth it. look at see what some of the sites have to offer.
-- Use Google AdWords wisely and like a business. Understand that a word with high competition might take longer to make money with. Often the hubs which seem to get a lot of traffic might not get that much money. Traffic is needed to make money, the type of traffic which gets the most money is from search engines.
-- Make certain that as soon as you publish a new hub you add it to all the social networking sites you can. Also put it in places that can also make you money. Do this within ten minutes of publishing the hub, and you will have about 7 links in a matter of minutes.
-- Make your hub interactive the longer someone stays on your site the more likely that your will get a click on a Google Ad. Do yourself this favor and make your site something people need to talk about. So adding links between your hubs and other people's hubs will help also having polls. Anything to keep people reason to stay.

The monthly traffic you need to have needs to be over 1,000 visitors per month, in fact the more successful hub writers will say that 10,000 views or more a month is the best. Read it again, ten thousand pages views per month.
So, set your goals high and get those links between your hubs and your blogs and on social networking sites, not only that but content is a must, and interactive hubs. Of course for promotion purposes, you need to promote your hubs for at least three months to see some real success. This ia business and you need to focus on it.

I always think I need a combination of more backlinks and more article pages as both are really the same thing, although finding those high page rank pages if possible to hold your backlinks would be highly useful. Great hubpage, rated up up and away!

LeeWalls-- in fact on average I get about (for all ym hubs combined) about, 11,000 views per month. but mind you I have been building links and building traffic and working with my keywords.
It is easier to get about 1,000 views (page impressions) in a month

tracey-- yes SMART is valuable, but then if you don't know a certain part such as Time or Realistic goals, then the rest will not work as well. Setting goals is important, but be relaistic. I will check this out.
research analyst-- i keep writing them and people need them so I am so blessed, but it took a long while to make what I have today.

I just had to come back here to tell you that even though my time was limited today I updated my profile as per the suggestions in this hub and also fixed up titles on two of my hubs. pressington-- I'll also add that it akes about a month before the link stars change, but get them right away.
pressington-- party when your hubs get about 3 stars becuase that means the links are incoming, and that really I would say takes about 20 links, so each link is of value.

FredIndy-- It is probably to me at least-- a tie with great content, as people won't link to a site that doesn't have great content or somthing useful for them. And these can be expaanded for other sites as well. Linking does increase traffic.

brian-- for the most part I do it by hand so I can customize teh link, adding teh write content to get people's attention. Bit longer but more success.
allpurposeguru-- I would say the tipping point is both links and followers, when promoting your hubs, sometimes less is more, so that you can focus your effort, but about 40 hubs on the same topic will get you more than 1,000 impressions a month, way more than that. I would say to make good money you will need closer to 10,000 impressions a month to do this.

Brian-- traffic and making money go hand in hand, and without traffic you have no money, so it is up to you to leverage it.
Micheal-- links and profile are big, I estimate a lot of my traffic to my blogs comes from e-zine articles and hubpages, so it is vital to have teh links there. Links are teh lifeblood, use them where you can.
Linda-- I do my best, it is fun to do and even more fun to get teh traffic. Of course it takes time but it is fun.

Do you use some kind of plugin to pull the links from your other hubs into the present hub or do you do all those by hand?
My project for the month is increasing traffic, so your article is very timely. The traffic I get on Xomba is pretty miserable, so I'm thinking of giving up on it and concentrating on something else instead. I'm already on RedGage and enjoy it. Of course, if I spend a lot of time promoting, that gives me less time to write. How many hubs do I need to have a realistic shot at 1000 impressions a month? Last month I got 433 impressions on 36 hubs. I spend most of my writing time keeping up with three blogs, and traffic is terrible there, too. I've got lots of work to do all over the place!

Creating links has always been my (pardon the pun) weak link. I create them, but frequently not enough of them. There still is a lot for me to improve on, but that is definitely where I need to focus my time.
