Making Money, Topics That Can Increase Traffic (And Money) and Google AdSense Ads

You want to make money online, you want to make it fast, and you want to make money from Google AdSense, and you are writing about certain topics, which are, in your mind ones which are not making you money. remember Google Ads are based upon your content as a whole, so think about that while you write about the hot topics of the day.

While some topics have better earnings potential than others, it is really all it is, earnings potential. There are many other factors in making money online than simply looking at the highest paying keywords, and writing on topics, you either know nothing about or don't really care about to make money.

It is a business and part of this is having a sound business plan. This is the Internet, and Google is the search engine everyone want to be found on. It is about SEO and about making money, but also about you and hubpages and your business.

Some topics will make money, some topics will make a bit of money, and some topics will make you pennies. Now, if you are that last group, part of the ways to make money is by building a lot of great quality links to your hub over time.This way you get traffic and your pennies will grow a bit faster.  You can do SEO (search engine optimization) forever, but you will still make pennies on these topics.

In my view, links are the basis for making money with a topic that pays less than others. If you understand business, it is important to write about it in a way people can understand, again, if you write about animals, you should make linking a number one priority. Why? Because links can build or increase traffic to your work over time.

For some, they get enough traffic each day that a click of 8 pennies is nothing, since they get enough traffic to a hub that 8 pennies time 100 clicks makes them 8 dollars. Why? they have traffic. With Links, traffic will increase over time, but linking has to be done correctly.

Linking is only part of the "whole" picture. For example: if I add a link to ezinearticles, and then to my blog, and then to three other different article dashboards, and then to two of the social networking sites How many links would I have? (answer: seven) This would be a better thing than to put 7 links on to e-zine articles.

You are probably wondering what is the difference? There are seven links, you are correct, but there is something special about the linking with the first one: The domains are different. In other words I have put my links in different places, and traffic comes from different places.

So, if your topic is on writing (which can make anywhere from a penny a click to 2 dollars a click) if you get traffic from seven different sources, it is much better than some traffic from one. Look at where you are linking before going and wondering what is wrong. Checking your hubs stats on links is a good beginning but also look where your traffic comes from, over the span of 30 days.

One important point to all this:  No matter how great your links are, if your content is so poor that you are getting poor ads, you still still make less than others.  Content is what Google AdSense ads are based upon (beyond keywords)

I can tell you that finance topics (business topics-- not how to make money) are "better" earners in terms of making money.

Topics on Self-publishing and publishing are great as well.

Writing and History are poorer earning topics, as are poetry.

This is okay to know, but the truth is that I make as much money if not more on my publishing and my writing hubs than I do on my making money hubs. Why?

The more the topic "earns" the more people want to write in it, and that can defeat the purpose of writing in this topic. To put it this way, I need 10 hubs on my how to make money versus 2 on my writing. Why because I get a lot of traffic on my writing hubs. In particular my first hub, how writing changed my life, still gets a lot of traffic after more than a year of being up.

Why? It is linked to a lot of different sites, and that is what makes the difference. The pennies add up.

To make money online you need to prove yourself to Google AdSense. It is not about the topic you choose but three factors which most people tend to forget: Content, Traffic and Links.

I have said this before, but I will expand on it, got to your top three hubs, and pick out these three, your hub with the most visits all time, your hub with the most traffic in the past 30 days and your hub with the most comments. Now for the next 30 days, focus on building links in at least three or four different writing sites: from Squidoo, to article directories (you can find at least 30 which are really good) to social networking sites, to your blog.

This will over time increase your traffic to your work. Next you will want to Look at your earning potential to each of these hubs, and start looking at your keyword for each (remember only three) and fix them up.

Really, it doesn't not matter about your topic, only that you get traffic, so start with a slow build up of links on your three best hubs and improve on them if needed. This will help your earnings potential better than any topic which seems to make you money.
