The Google AdSense and Google AdWords Programs Work Together...The thing is that they aren't the same they are Different
74AdSense and AdWords? Different and Together? You Are Joking Right?
On the Internet, when we want to look at anything we go online to a search engine and use keywords, known as search terms, and then go to a website that we believe fits fits our needs. When we go to that website, there on it there is usually some sort of advertisements, and these are usually done by a company such as Google or Chickita. Some might wonder why there is an ads by google there and how did it get there in the first place?
The reason for this is: Google AdSense and Google AdWords work together to make an ads by Google.
You will usually gloss over the ads, these Google AdSense ads, but the question you can ask is where do they come from? How does one go about making money with them? How does one go and "get" these ads? Google AdWords is your answer.
You don't make money per say with the program that creates these ads, called Google AdWords, this is where the ads are "made" someone wants to promote something online, say their blog, and they make an ad there and for a daily budget show these ads to the world.
Google AdWords
Google AdWords builds the ads, and the keywords your traffic looks for: When someone wants to place an ad for their blog or website they will sign up for Google AdWords. From there they will choose the "ad" and the focus or content that they are looking for, this is where you will find that sometimes, an ad just seems out of place on your website or blog or even your hubs. (Notice: 40% of the time if an ad doesn't make sense on your hubs, that is because of the revenue sharing you have with hubpages.)
This is why your content must be great because you want the best ads placed on your work. This is a business and these people spend money to get traffic to make them money. Now the big picture is that they want to get the most quality traffic for their money, and they will be asked to set certain "goals" for their ads and the ad placement.
One way is by saying that the ad will be placed on search engines, or that the ads will be placed only in specific cities. Google figures out where you are based upon your IP address (your Internet address) and then placed ads based partly on that, and also on the content of the site.

Google AdSense... the Money Thing
Google AdSense.. this is what everyone talks about because it makes you money: Now, I am not going to get into how much money you can make based upon Google AdSense, I am going to be writing about the business idea of Google AdSense, at its most basic business level. Google AdSense is where you become the site which "publishes" these ads that someone else worked to make.
This is why you are known as a Google AdSense publisher. Now, you are not the one who decides what ads goes on your site, only that you have the option of what sort of ads (topics)can be shown on your website. You can choose to only allow text based ads, or picture ads, or both. You can choose to use all the allowed number of ads on your work that Google AdSense allows, but it is your content and your traffic that make the type of ad appear.
This does mean that traffic and content are a must for any site that you have Google AdSense on. When I write "content" what I am referring to is the words that people type in their work to make them get traffic, not the writing itself.
So Should Use Use them Both?
If you are just beginning your journey: The simple answer is no, you need to learn about Google AdSense first this is the one which makes you money, and although it will not make you money within the first year, you need to learn about it. You will also need to learn about each site you decide you want to write on. this means that you need to learn about one thing that can potentially make you money.
AdSense has its benefits, it lets you look at information and learn about keywords and why certain ads come up on your hubs, and why you are or are not getting what you feel you should be getting. All in all I would say it takes about (in terms of hours) 5,000 to feel comfortable with Google AdSense.
When You Are confident and have money to spare: This is a judgement call, as since AdWords is something where you are putting your money on the line, you can make a lot of costly mistakes, so if you are confident and need a bit of a challenge with about $500 a month, and you can be reasonably sure you will make this back, you can try Google AdWords. Be advise you need to understand you site to make this work. You need to have a quality site up there, or you will never make a return on investment of your AdWords Account.
The benefit to AdWords, you can look into keywords and traffic and a lot more information that AdSense does not offer, however look into why something is $20.00 a click, since it can mean a lot of things (a government site is listed, or it is a hard to "think of" keyword) expertise is a must for Google AdWords.

The Difference Between Google AdWords and Google AdSense
Is there a Difference Between Gogle AdWords and Google AdSense?
See results without votingSo, I Can Not Do Much With Either?
Know What you can Do and Know what you can't do with both programs(or the last word): Both are Google based programs, but with one you are in "more control" than the other. In this case you can get the Google AdSense preview tool (and use it) to allow or not allow certain ads, but you also need to understand that sometimes ads come up because of your content.
As hubpages uses yieldbuild to help with the hubs that are on hubpages (I've heard 1million hubs.) it is also something to understand that even if you don't like a particular ad, this is a revenue sharing site, and hubpages has the page impressions for your hubs 40% of the time. You get the page impression for the ads 60% of the time, so you need to focus on three things: YOUR hubs, your traffic and above all YOUR content.
thank you sooooo much! you have answered many questions!
Nice Work
Thanks, really thanks!
Thank you for this important info. I suspended my Adwords account long ago, because I almost ended up with an empty back account. I'm bookmarking this data to remind me of the difference and use of Adwords application. Thanks again Ms. Rebecca, voted up, marked useful and shared.
Great stuff! I’m very clear now regarding Google Adwords and Google Adsense. Only when both work, the site earns traffic and money.
Until today I just did not now exactly what is the differences between both adsense and adword. After reading this article I said to myself : "Wow that is it!" so simple. Thanks!
Up and very useful. thanks!
It is very easy to earn money if your blog or site is on pupular niche and appears in searching with few keywords. But it is quite difficult to get the approval of Google Adsense.
Thanks for the info, it clears some points about those two programs and makes it easier to understand the difference.
