Writing Fine Hubs: The Art of Publishing a Hub

There is a wonderful art to writing and publishing hubs. This is not all that different to increasing your earnings on your writing. The key to this is time, and effort and a bit of luck. It is one ting to write and publish what one considers a "well written piece" and publishing what others find of use.

Yes, there is one important thing I am forgetting, to write a artful hub and to make some money to help yourself and others, you need to publish that hub. This by default makes you a published author. You are in the business of marketing on getting on to google and writing excellent hubs. An artful hub will get traffic and money, and search engine traffic from google.

So how does one go about writing a artful hub? There is a fine art to it and a few things will help you along, it is mindset really. Once you have that mindset the rest is easy. Of course, the mindset is in fact: a business mindset, so when you publish a hub and think like a business you will have more success.

There is a fine art to hubs one which involves making money and publishing.
There is a fine art to hubs one which involves making money and publishing.

The Art of Publishing

Publishing is an Art, Think of That while Publishing a Hub: There are many things to remember when writing a hub, but the most important is how to publish a good hub. I know some will argue that a short and sweet hub will go far, but I'll say this, long is alright as well. provided two things happen: One, no long block of writing or text, and two no overt promotion, you know the kind I mean (see this website, see it see it see it.

Make you content relate to the reader, meaning that when publishing anything does it "help" the reader? If you are just writing to write that is one thing, there is a spot for it, but...

If you are writing for other reasons, to help new hubbers, to teach something you know or to increase traffic or make money, you'd better have something good to say, so the better your content the better your links the better your title, the more traffic you'll get the more help you can give and the more money you can make. This will all help you in your goals.

The biggest suggestion is this: write an interesting title and work with a good content, and then make it easy for the reader to ask and debate points. If you don't get comments, but get traffic that is alright, but comments are a lifeblood, since if people comment they can and will add a link to a hub of yours. Think of the reader and then publish your hub.

Hubs will also be helped by reader comments and interest so make sure you have something to say!

Making Money on Hubs Takes Time, Remember this While Writing:  I've heard many people say many different things about writing hubs and making money.  Some suggest you need about 30 interrelating hubs, others will suggest that you need about 100 hubs before money begins to come your way.

I'll give you my view; I think it is a mix of both, if you have say two or three hubs that work together then more people will go between them to look at them.  For example I have a publishing books series about common mistakes.  But in This case, my Money 101 is the one that interrelates between so many of my hubs that if people are wanting to begin somewhere they can go from there.

Linking is vital to making money, the more links, done well means that a person can find your hubs easier on search engines.  Google is great for that.Still, for the most part writing hubs that can be a part of a niche you make for yourself, is important.  It's a sort of calling card to theworld.  The more you "own" a strong part of niche the more likely people will click on ads you have on your hubs.

As I mentioned, remember to write a good hub first one that is long lasting and one that people will come back to is important.  A long hub means I might come back to it three or four times before I comment, or I'll comment more than once if the hubber answers comments.

Making Money is About Service

Making Money is a Business, Think of it this Way: Good "customer" service, some will like your hubs some won't some will come again and again and come will click on ads, and some won't. This is a business after all.

This means you will need to think hard about customer service and why people come to your hubs. The reasons can vary but if you provide them with quality, fine hubs, then they will come back and read more of your writing. This is often how you increase your traffic fast by thinking of what your readers need and also how much you can give them. the more people come and read the more your voice will be heard.

Still. even with a devoted following, there is a business aspect to hubpages, making money can be the name of the game for some, and they need to make money, but the need customers,(for lack of a better term) so how to get these customers? Linking, commenting, plain out be a good person to work with. Also be able to handle some who don't like your writing. There is always somebody!

Want to make money? Think of writing hubs as a business and you will see some success. Think big, hubpages, google, then the world, but also think small, each person who comes to your hub, each link your make on each hub. That is an art in and of itself.

Writing Hubs is an Art, so is Getting Google Traffic and Other Internet Traffic to your Published Hubs: Seems easy right? I know sometimes easy is hard, I think it is because it is so "easy" we don't do it. the Internet is full of people and someone somewhere will find you hub.

In fact I do get some comments along the lines of: I didn't expect this, but I like it, or this wasn't what I was looking for but it helped. In other words they found my hub by mistake, but it still helped them somehow. You never know, they might even look around.

A great place to put you hubs up is on Stumble Upon and Facebook. (As Unchained Grace said minus the pillow fights!) still Stumble Upon is easy to use, and can get you some pretty good traffic, and as a bonus it does add another link. I went back to my hubs and Shred them on Stumble Upon, and got some pretty good traffic from it. Just make sure you put the hub in the correct section to get the most out of anything. Use Stumble Upon on your hubs and others. This is a must. Use it often on yours and other hubs, and you will find traffic will come to your hubs.

Make sure people can find you hubs on other sites of yours on the Internet, and on yahoo and msn and of course google, but these of course take time. I think that search engine traffic will get more money since most hubbers are here to write and comment. (There are some who do click, on ads but they are few and far between) So this is a big thing to work on, if you want ot make money to earn a living, but get a few good hubs up first!

In this case, writing is needed, as you need to write a good hub, and then answer comments link and then get traffic, there is an art to this, as there is when publishing hubs but the result can mean more money for you, and a better spot on google. Good luck!

theherbivorehippi--- digg is very good as well, but it's a bit complex for most new social entwroking people, so I usually suggest stumble upon, but yes digg is great I've not used Reddit before so can't say as to that.

Great Hub! I do like Stumble Upon but I tend to get more traffic from Reddit and Digg but perhaps I need to re-evaluate if I'm using the proper section sometimes for categorizing. Thanks for the helpful information!

LAmme-- no it doesn't creat duplicate content since all it does is add yout title as a link, and when someone presses on that link they see the whole hub. So it's like adding a link to another hub. Best way to describe it.

I haven't used Stumble Upon in a while. Maybe I will work at it some more. I would like to try and get a higher Hub rank but, I just can't get over that 93 mark. Once in a while it has been 94 but, I always hover around 92 or 93. I wish I knew what would help. I comment a lot and write as often as I can but, we will see. Thanks for the info.

Hy Rebecca. Congrats on a great hub here. You have some very good advice here for using StumbleUpon. I use it for linking back to my hubs and it is good and easy to work on. Learning the process of how to grow a hub and make it successful is well worth the efforts and the rewards are that we get higher rating in Hub Pages. I love using StumbleUpon and recommend it also! Cheers!

Have you ever heard of Weebly? It's a free domain if you're interested (as far as I know--just say no if they ask you to subscribe to anything). I took your advice and dove into Stumble Upon yesterday. Eventually, I want to get all my Hubs up there (in the right sections, of course) and then trust God that people will find them and read them. The other good thing is on Stumble Upon, ya don't gotta dodge pillowfights while trying to properly set up your Wall for promotional opportunities. Still, Facebook does have its bennies and my stats tell me I'm developing strong traffic in this area.

I really enjoyed this Hub and anytime I can learn something new and beneficial, I'm all ears and eyes!
